Dr. Sumedha Sodhi
Digital citizenship represents a new dimension of citizenship education that focuses on teaching students to work, live, and share in digital environments in a positive way. Being a Global IMPACTOR has empowered me and my learners with the knowledge, skills, and understanding required for millennials to exercise and defend their democratic rights and responsibilities online, and to promote and protect human rights, democracy, and the rule of law in cyberspace.

Meet Global IMPACTOR: Dr. Sumedha Sodhi
Dr. Sumedha Sodhi has over 13 years of progressive, responsible, and professional experience in teaching in India. Currently, Dr. Sodhi is the head the Social Science department for classes 9 and 10th. She is a Global Citizenship Education School Coordinator working in collaboration with Global Citizenship foundation in the domain of global citizenship education for developing and advancing GCED pedagogy and practice. As part of the project , 100+ student led projects are completed each one based on SDGs. Her podcast channel #EduRockStar talks with a mission to empower educators to combat the challenges faced in the teaching-learning process and empower the educators to create the love for learning. Dr. Sodhi also serves as a Teach SDG Ambassador, SDG Choupal Ambassador, Climate Project Educator, Goals Project educator. Her passion is to integrate technology in the classroom to maximize the learning experience. She shares her knowledge with the teacher community through a series of webinars on myriad themes including Integrating SDGs into curriculum. Sumedha is also a Certified Global Career Counsellor by UCLA extension which is a continuing education institution within the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).She is passionate about engaging students in authentic activities, incorporating restorative practices, and leveraging technology to empower students. Dr. Sodhi enjoys connecting with educators through social media, professional organizations, conferences, Twitter chats, etc .She encourages and motivates other educators in her community through webinars to reach far beyond the classroom walls to make the learning more meaningful and inspiring. She has a true passion for working with other educators and students to encourage them to make and foster global connections.
